You just inherited a farm! Psych. It's a mansion. A giant, rundown mansion with overgrown farmland out back that's dripping in "this shit's haunted" vibes. On a magic island where everyone saw you coming but you. Congrats? Welcome to Feylight Bay, a cozy farming RPG where "cozy" includes existential questions, nosy neighbors, fighting monsters, and the uncomfortable realization that whoever left you this place either really loved you or really wanted to screw you over.
Where We're At
We're building a Kickstarter demo where you show up expecting cottage-core fantasy and instead get a mansion one strong wind away from collapse, plus an entire town of weirdos who act like you're late to a party you were never invited to. Here's the thing: we love farming games, but we're tired of NPCs who operate as quest-giving vending machines or become your best friend because you gave them a carrot from the bottom of your backpack. So we're making characters who don't give a damn about you. Until they do. Posco runs a pawn shop full of items that are "definitely not cursed" (they absolutely are). When he's not feuding with Blazz the mechanic across the street, he's metal-detecting on the beach at night. What's he looking for? He tells everyone a different story. None of them are true. Blazz can fix anything—as long as she's got snacks and her music loud enough to piss off Posco. Her favorite band is Contraption, but she'll blast whatever annoys him most. Their 2-year feud isn't ending anytime soon. Addie bartends at Fletcher's pub and everyone loves her. She seems scattered until you realize she speaks at least six languages (maybe more—she's lost count). She hears everyone's secrets but never gossips. Not because she's discreet, but because she genuinely can't remember them long enough to spill. Captain Whitewhiskers is a centuries-old cat whose adventures inspired an entire book series. Never heard a Captain Whitewhiskers story? Don't worry—he's always got one ready. His close friends don't call him Captain Showboat for nothing. These people have problems. Real ones. And your vegetables aren't the solution. You'll farm, yeah. But you'll also investigate why some stranger left you an entire mansion, navigate weird island politics, fight actual monsters, and maybe—maybe—figure out who you are when no one knows what you did before you got here. This isn't your cozy comfort game with a new skin. This is "what if your farming sim had consequences and your neighbors weren't waiting around for you to exist."
Demo first. Then Kickstarter. Then we build the full game—deeper systems, messier relationships, seasonal chaos, and enough mysteries to make you question if inheriting a haunted mansion was your best life choice. We're not trying to make you feel cozy 24/7. We're trying to make something that sticks with you. What's Next
